FULL CLOSURE ORDER 👮 🚨 ❗
Officers from the Aylesbury Neighbourhood Policing Team have worked closely with various partner agencies 📨 in order to obtain a full closure order on an address that had been deemed to be causing Anti-Social Behaviour 🚔 . The order granted by the magistrates court 🏛️⚖️ for a period of 3 months prevents access to the property and will help protect local residents from further Anti-Social Behaviour. We take all reports of Anti-Social Behaviour seriously. If you have any concerns around your local area you can always report via 101, or online.

Last week, we were delighted to host a Dementia Friends training session at the home. Part of Alzheimer’s Society initiative, the programme focuses on building a deeper understanding of dementia and encouraging practical action to support those living with the condition within our local community. 🧠
Even for our team members who have years of experience supporting people with dementia, the session offered plenty of useful tips and new insights to take away.
A big thank you to Alzheimer's Society for sharing your expertise with our team. 🧡

We recently welcomed a group of people for a tour of Chilterns Crematorium. It gave them the opportunity to find out more about what happens from the moment someone arrives through to the cremation process, as well as to ask questions and have open, honest conversations about death, funerals and bereavement.
Group tours are available at both Chilterns and Bierton crematoria by arrangement:

Meet Rob – our volunteer van driver and Furniture Showroom superstar! 🩷
Five years ago, Florence Nightingale Hospice cared for Rob’s mum during the final months of her life. Inspired by the outstanding care she received, Rob wanted to give something back.
After donating his mum’s belongings to our Furniture Showroom, Rob asked about volunteering, and he hasn’t looked back!
Today, Rob volunteers in the showroom and on our vans, helping collect furniture donations, visit our shops and meet supporters across the county. 🚐
🗣️ “Volunteering is giving something back to an organisation that gave so much to caring for my mum and being part of something that helps so many people in the local community.”
For Rob, volunteering means meeting new people, staying active, having fun and knowing he’s making a difference.
And his advice to anyone thinking about volunteering?
“It is a good way to do something different to support Florence Nightingale Hospice Charity.”
Could you be our next Rob? 💚
Whether you have a few hours to spare, want to meet new people or simply want to give something back, we’d love to hear from you!

Ok. The man the myth the LEGEND up next! The oldest volunteer to complete the whole 24hrs and the ONLY volunteer who has completed all 5 Le Womble 24hrs!!! Hence why his womble name suits him!
Its BONKERS Womble Owen!
"This was my 5th 24 hr le womble may be my last wait and see. The reason I take part is to help with the great charities that we decided to support and also to help clean up our town i do not think i could do this without a great bunch of people we have with us not just people but friends . The pick itself was challenging but we came through it although a bit smelly thanks to quite a few discarded bottles of very sour milk . The laughter and banter was never far away and being in a layby with Richard telling us how much he hated rats was to much temptation my picker accidentally 🤭touched his leg he certainly can move fast 😅. We then moved on to another area where we parked up and the local police took an interest asking what we were doing at 2am in the morning when I said litter picking not sure they believed me especially as sat in the back of my car was Rodney with his hood up . Luckily the womble wagon turned up and all was well . All in All it was another great success thankyou Richard for organising this it can't be easy thankyou Pauline for collecting the pizzas and a big thankyou to everyone that supplied and made cakes that helped us keep going .also thank you lynsey for sorting out some goodie bags at the end of the pick also a big thank you to 1st Aylesbury cubs and scouts for feeding us to get us off to a good start."
