Lidl Unveils Plans for a Fourth Supermarket in Aylesbury

Aylesbury could soon see the arrival of its fourth Lidl supermarket, as the budget retailer seeks public feedback on a brand-new proposed site.

The supermarket chain is currently eyeing a plot of land off Lower Road for the development, a move that the company says would create 40 new jobs. Lidl is gathering community feedback on the potential new supermarket before submitting a formal planning application to Bucks Council.

The discount giant is rapidly expanding its footprint in the town. There are already two Lidl supermarkets operating in Aylesbury—one at the Aylesbury Shopping Park by Cambridge Street, and another on Oakfield Road. Furthermore, a third branch has already been erected on the site of the former Stratstone Land Rover showroom on Buckingham Road, which is scheduled to open its doors later this year.
