Where the roadworks are: Bucks Council’s latest closures across the county

Drivers across Buckinghamshire face a fresh round of closures and resurfacing works this month as the council presses on with its programme of carriageway, lining and street-lighting improvements. Among the current carriageway resurfacing schemes, Howe Drive and Netherwood Close in Knotty Green are closed between 8am and 5pm on weekdays from 7 to 15 September, while Blackgrove Road in Waddesdon is subject to a 24-hour closure in its first phase from 7 to 25 September, followed by daytime-only closures from 29 September into October.
Elsewhere, a countywide programme is under way to replace 40 damaged street-lighting columns with energy-efficient LED lanterns, spanning towns from Amersham and Aylesbury to High Wycombe, Marlow and Princes Risborough, alongside a rolling refresh of “School Keep Clear” markings and worn road lines across the county. Because roadworks change week to week, drivers are advised to check the council’s live roadworks map before travelling for the most up-to-date list of closures, diversions and temporary traffic lights.
